Thursday morning, Ulster County kicked off a new tourism marketing campaign called “Seek For Yourself.”  County Executive Mike Hein made the announcement along with Director of Tourism Rick Remsnyder at Tuthilltown Spirits in Gardiner.  Hein said for the seventh consecutive year, tourism revenue has increased in Ulster County.  In 2016, the county saw an increase in $21 million increase in tourism revenue from the previous year and set an all time record for Hotel Occupancy Taxes.

The new campaign, “Seek For Yourself,” will focus on visitors to the county creating their own unique experiences.  It will highlight Ulster County’s marquee assets, but also focus on the hidden treasures in the county.   The campaign will launch over Ulster County’s various media platforms, including the tourism website, ulstercountyalive.com.  The county also plans to use radio and print along with multiple social media venues.  Cubic, Inc, a developer, came up with the campaign after reaching out to area businesses, residents and visitors in Ulster County.
