Hudson Valley Fall Foliage Could Be Best in Years
The nights are getting colder and that is jump starting the fall foliage. Experts say this could be an amazing year for explosive colors.
The two best seasons around here for me are summer and fall. Unfortunately they always seem to go too fast. We had a snowy winter and a wet spring and that is the main reason we could have some of the best fall colors in years. According to a story in the Daily Voice, Accuweather says the conditions are excellent for incredible color.
“Trees have responded well [to the moisture] and look promising for a very good fall foliage season,” AccuWeather Lead Long-Range Meteorologist Paul Pastelok said.
You know I'm a Dutchess County guy, but in my opinion Ulster County has us beat when it comes to showing off fall foliage. The Shawangunk Mountain range just has a way of framing the colors that's hard to beat. There are lots of ways to take in the beauty of fall around here and this year looks like one you should get out and enjoy as much as possible.
